Kiss Die Cutting

J.L. McIntosh can die cut through the face stock of pressure-sensitive label stock and "kiss" the liner, leaving the liner intact but cutting the pressure sensitive face stock in the required shape. This technique is commonly used for labels with copy to sides of kiss-cut piece—for example, to match shipping labels to letterhead and envelopes. Kiss die-cutting is also good for custom shapes that you cannot buy off the shelf, and custom labels for VHS, 8mm, and audio tapes.
